Title：Connecting the Dots

Abstract

在這個人工智慧蓬勃發展的時代，技術變化很快、剛學到的課程內容沒多久又過時了，學習是為了什麼？我們的未來又會是怎樣的走向？我們怎麼知道該做怎樣的選擇？

Steve Jobs 曾這樣說, "you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."

在這個演講中，沒有太多的技術細節，只有一個一個的小故事和大家分享。期待透過這些故事，仍讓我們找到如何Connecting the Dots的信心。

Speaker Bio

Since 2004, Professor Chen has been affiliated with National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), where she is a professor in the Department of Computer Science. After earning her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2002, she has dedicated herself to academia and research.

Professor Chen has led the International Master Program of Information Systems and Applications (IMPISA) and chaired the International Bachelor Degree Program (IBP) at NTHU, enhancing the university's global educational outreach. She currently lead the Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Courses program, supported by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan since 2016. Additionally, she is the executive director of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence. Her research interests are centered around Web intelligence, social networks, and natural language processing.
